Visitors can get up close and personal with vibrant butterflies inside the temporary butterfly tent set up at the Essex County Environmental Center in Roseland. Some 30 monarch butterflies and 20 painted lady butterflies were released in the tent this week. The exhibit will be open to the public until July 28, 2012 when some of the butterflies — including those born in the tent — will be released, while others will become part of the center’s educational programs.
