There are many readily available materials within the natural landscape that lend themselves to basketry. I’ve made a few baskets now using Virginia Creeper, Red Twig Dogwood, Willow and Scrub Oak. To learn more, I took an excellent class at http://www.practicalprimitive.com to learn how to make a split ash/rattan arrow quiver. Using the same building principles learned when making the quiver, I was able to build the other baskets for tasks like collecting wild edibles and to use as a fish creel.
NIce quiver! How would you attach it?
You wear it over the shoulder on your back.
