In May 2019, I traveled to the St. Regis Wilderness Canoe Area in the Adirondacks of New York with a friend. We hit the land and water trails as hard as we could in the time available and in the face of long portages, wind, rain, blackflies and mosquitoes and had a terrific time over four days. Fish were caught and good food was cooked over the campfire!

The brook trout hit a mix of lures including the “wabbler and worm” a classic ADK technique of slow trolling a dangling worm on a bait hook 16″-24″ behind a flashing wabbler.
